DUE TO A LACK OF FUNDING WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE CULTURAL DAY CELEBRATION ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 14TH IN CAPE MAY HAS BEEN CANCELLED!
***This schedule will be subject to changes between now and July 31, 2010, the start of our river journey. Please check back with the website periodically for updates. We are very excited to be in the year of our river journey once again, and look forward to seeing our friends and "river rats" again, as well as meeting new folks along the way! Everyone and anyone is welcomed to join in for part or all of the Rising Nation River Journey. Join our community, as we paddle for a cause! We welcome the public to join us at each stop along the way for evening social! If you plan on coming for dinner, please bring a dish to share. Many of our hosts and friends have been kind enough to provide evening meals for us along the way. We have asked them to provide for 20 people which will cover our core group plus a few. To date, we have no provisions for breakfast and lunch, so please be prepared to provide your own!
Friday July 30
Camping in Calicoon, Delaware Valley Youth Center which is just up the hill from the Calicoon access.

Pond Eddy to Matamoras (18 miles)
Take out and overnight Camping at Tri-State RV Camp
400 Shay Lane, Matamoras, Pa. 18336
3 miles south of the Matamoras ramp (which is on 549 1 1/2 miles north of Port Jervis bridge.)
Full meal (Barbeque ribs, chicken, salads, corn, strawberry shortcake and more) will be provided by Judy at the Camp for 12.00 per person.

NOTE: site is secured for 10 people which will cover our core group plus a few.
If we have more than 10 people, the price for the campsite is $15.00 each person, so be prepared just in case!

Matamoras to Dingmans Ferry (16 miles)
(Dingman's ferry Ramp is located next to the Dingman's Ferry Bridge on the Pa side)

Worthington to Macks Island (15 miles)
Camping on private property in Mt. Bethel.

Macks Island to Easton (16 miles)
Take out and overnight camping at Wy-Hit-Tuk Park
3 miles south of Easton on the PA side
EVENING SOCIAL AT WY-HIT-TUK PARK
Open to the public. Adults, children, families, friends, and partners in the Easton area are invited!
4:00 - Program with Northampton County Historical Society
Featuring speakers from NCHGS (Barbara Kowitz)
and the Lenape Nation (Jim Beer)
Fred Werkheiser - will speak about our Sacred Sites and will bring a stonework artifact display.
Dinner at 5:00 PM. Please bring a dish to share in our potluck feast!
6:00 Drumming, singing, music circle. Bring your drums, guitars, voices and other instruments and join in!
Boy Scout Troop 168 will join us here and remain with us for the rest of the journey. Welcome Troop 168!

Durham to Marshall Island (12 miles)
4:30 - Ceremony at Treasure Island hosted by Unami Lodge #1 and Cradle of Liberty Council
Primitive overnight camping on Marshall Island.
Wanishi to Troop 168 of Pennsbury District, Bucks County Council for providing our evening meal!
Tues August 10
Marshall Island to New Hope area( 12 miles)
Take out and overnight camping at Bull's Island.
NOTE: Overnight accommodations for our core group have been made. (10 people)
Additional campsites are 20.00 per night and will allow for up to 6 people in each.
Wed August 11
New Hope to Washington Crossing (10 miles)
6:00 PM Program - Flint-knapping and Firemaking - Bob Williams and George Bushy
Evening ceremony at Washington Crossing - Hosted by the Lenape Nation in appreciation of the support from the Boy Scouts from Bucks County and Cradle of Liberty Councils
Overnight camping at Washington Crossing State Park.
